FROM THE GULF COAST to deep space, The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) offers a unique learning environment. With more than 100 undergraduate and graduate programs to choose from, including engineering, marine biology, international business, and a School of Medicine, UTRGV is expanding educational opportunities for South Texas and beyond.


In the next few years, UTRGV will implement new professional and doctoral programs, giving students multiple opportunities to innovate and collaborate with faculty and leaders in industry, business, medicine, science, education, and technology.


Part of the UTRGV experience is student life, which includes living on campus in one of four residence halls or apartment complexes and linking up with some of the nearly 300 student organizations on campus.


With a student population of more than 28,000, UTRGV is the ninth-largest, four-year public university in Texas and offers educational opportunities in Brownsville, Edinburg, Harlingen, McAllen, Rio Grande City, and South Padre Island.
