THE UNIVERSITY OF DALLAS (UD) is the premier Catholic liberal arts university in Texas and the nation. Known for its nationally recognized Core Curriculum, immersive study abroad program in Rome, firm faith, and a tight-knit student body, the University of Dallas welcomes students of all faiths into a close community of thinkers seeking a life well lived.
Every undergraduate student at UD receives a true liberal arts education in the Core Curriculum, a program of interdisciplinary coursework anchored in the great works of Western civilization. Thanks to this formative curriculum, UD students graduate ready to succeed in any profession, such as the 85 percent of pre-med graduates and ninety percent of pre-law graduates who are accepted to a professional school after UD.
With a sister campus in Italy, UD undergraduates enjoy the Rome Program. For a semester, students lodge at UD’s Rome campus and travel around the Mediterranean region with their professors, learning in the cradle of Western civilization. The program ends with an independent ten-day travel break.
UD also offers graduate and professional programs in art, ministry, business, education, and the humanities. UD is home to one of the nation’s few Catholic Master of Fine Arts programs, the state’s first AACSB-accredited Doctor of Business Administration program, and the only Ph.D. program that requires interdisciplinary coursework in the different branches of the humanities.
