Midwestern State University

Wichita Falls, Texas

A CENTER FOR STEM Excellence and a new degree program in electrical engineering top the good news at Midwestern State University (MSU Texas).

A public university, MSU Texas has long been recognized for its strong arts, humanities, sciences, and social sciences programs as well as its accredited professional programs in education, social work, nursing, radiologic science, respiratory care, and business.

The Center for STEM Excellence will enhance opportunities for students to choose new science, technology, engineering, and math career paths and create an ethically grounded and STEM-trained workforce. Computer systems course choices will expand in programming, human-computer interface, cybersecurity, and gaming.

The electrical engineering degree will complement the university’s successful mechanical engineering program and respond to critical workforce demands in the region.

Degrees from MSU Texas consistently place high on “most affordable” lists by college ranking sites. Students enjoy the benefits of a private institution with the affordability of a public university. From the affordable tuition to academic scholarships and financial aid programs, students can earn a quality education without the heavy debt common at some universities.

The individual attention provided through smaller class sizes allows MSU Texas students and faculty to make meaningful relationships, while a nationally ranked cycling club and recreational sports complement 13 NCAA Division II sports.
