TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY (TLU) is dedicated to promoting a full undergraduate education through small class sizes and opportunities for cross-disciplinary coursework and instruction.

As an officially designated Hispanic-Serving Institution, TLU offers 27 majors, 37 minors, nine pre-professional health programs, and four graduate programs, including a Master of Accountancy, a Master of Science in data analytics, a Master of Athletic Training, a Master of Arts in education, a direct-entry Master of Science in nursing, and an online Master of Business Administration. The master’s programs for accounting and data analytics are five-year concurrent undergraduate/graduate programs, while the master’s for athletic training is a 3-2 program with students completing prerequisites in the first three years and entering the master’s program in years four and five.

More than 1,300 undergraduates attend TLU on its 184 tree-lined acres in Seguin, thirty miles from San Antonio and fifty miles from Austin. Students are encouraged to audition for music, theater, and performance scholarships that are awarded in addition to academic scholarships. Music and theater students learn, practice, and perform in the Weston Center for the Performing Arts, which opened in 2018.

TLU students are extremely involved and engaged across campus. About one-third of TLU’s students participate in nineteen men’s and women’s Division III athletic teams. Special emphasis is placed on civic engagement and service learning. More than half of the student body identifies as first generation, meaning they are the first person in their immediate family to attend college.
