University of Texas Permian Basin

Odessa, Texas

THE PERMIAN BASIN is one of the fastest growing, culturally vibrant, and economically invigorated regions of the country. At the academic heart of this revitalized area sits The University of Texas Permian Basin (UTPB), delivering leaders every year into the Basin and across the U.S.

A four-year university with nearly seven thousand students, UTPB is committed to connecting all graduates to industry through internship programs and job placement with some of the most successful companies in the country. Currently, the campus is being revamped to change the way students, faculty, staff, and the community interact with UTPB.

Within the last four years, UTPB officially opened a new engineering building as well as the D. Kirk Edwards Family Human Performance Center. The 63,000-square-foot facility houses the exercise science department and athletic training program, and includes state-of-the-art classrooms and labs along with the men’s football and women’s soccer locker rooms.
