TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY–CORPUS CHRISTI, known as the Island University, is recognized for its top-quality academic programs. Undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students choose from more than eighty degree programs including marine biology, mechanical engineering, nursing, education, graphic design, kinesiology, marketing, and theater.

Students benefit from individualized and immersive learning experiences where faculty offer mentored research in more than forty centers and labs. At the Island University, tomorrow’s artists, teachers, scientists, athletes, engineers, and entrepreneurs are encouraged to find their purpose.

As a Hispanic-Serving and Minority-Serving Institution, the naturally beautiful island campus provides a welcoming, supportive, and energizing environment for students from 49 states and 58 nations.

Islander impact is felt around the world through the work of several centers of excellence, including the Harte Research Institute for Gulf of Mexico Studies and its mission of protecting gulf ecosystems. The Conrad Blucher Institute specializes in coastal artificial intelligence and is also training canines to detect oil spills on Texas beaches. Meanwhile, the Lone Star UAS Center of Excellence and Innovation is one of only seven FAA-unmanned aircraft systems test sites in the nation. It uses drone technology to answer a critical need in disaster response and recovery throughout the state.
